Step 5. Write Your Background Vow

Now you will create a background vow to represent the primary motivation or ultimate goal of your character. This vow will likely be part of your character’s history, it should be some sort of driving ambition or commitment they have with a definitive goal.

This vow will not be easy to fulfill. You will give it an Epic challenge rank, meaning that it could take a tremendous amount of both in game and out of game time to complete. You may even decide during play that it isn’t something you are interested in making progress on for the narrative, instead keeping it as a framework for roleplay and an option to fall back on if you end up in a narrative deadend of sorts for other quests.

An easy vow if you are having trouble thinking of one is to seek the Cloud Empress so that she may be returned to Alpha City - With the goal of either having your wish granted or expelling the Cloudlings from the Lowlands.
